Good tiling is mostly preparation: a flat, sound substrate, the right adhesive and a layout planned before the first tile is cut. Kew Construction tiles bathrooms, kitchens and floors, and lays LVT and engineered wood across Liverpool and Merseyside, with the floor levelled first so the finish lasts.

Frequently asked questions
Do you level the floor before laying new flooring?
Yes, where it is needed. Most problems with tiles cracking or LVT joints opening come from an uneven or flexing floor, so we check it and include any levelling in the quote.
Can you tile over existing tiles?
Sometimes, but we rarely recommend it in bathrooms: it adds weight, hides problems behind the old tiles and raises the floor level. We will tell you honestly on the visit.
Do you lay LVT and engineered wood as well as tiles?
Yes. We lay LVT, click vinyl and engineered wood, as well as porcelain and ceramic tiles, and can fit underfloor heating underneath suitable floors.
Do I need to supply the tiles?
You can choose and buy your own, or we can supply them. We confirm quantities, including spare for cuts and future repairs, before ordering.
